“La Patota” won the Tiantan award for Best Movie

The Argentinean Film "La Patota" - internationally distributed as "Pauline"-, led by the filmmaker Santiago Mitre and starring actress Dolores Fonzi, won the Tiantan award (Temple of Heaven) for the Best Film in the Sixth Beijing International Film Festival Awards Ceremony, which took place in the night of Saturday, April 23 in Beijing. Also, the film won awards for Best Actress and Best Screenplay.

It should be noted that the Argentinean film won over the jury of the Competition, which chosed it between fifteen finalists, both chinese and international. These included the spanish movie "A Perfect Day", by Fernando Leon de Aranoa, which won a Goya for Best adapted screenplay, and "No Air", by Samuel Martin Mateos and Andres Luque.

Fernando Brom, one of the producers of the film, came onto the stage, accompanied by the Ambassador of Argentina in the People's Republic of China, Diego R. Guelar, who was very honored to represent the national cinema. The Head of the Diplomatic Mission congratulated the organizers and said: "The festival was of an extraordinary level, maybe even better organized than the Oscars, which I attend as Ambassador in Washington." In addition, Guelar recalled Tinayre Daniel, Director of the original version of the story.

In recent years, the International Film Festival of Beijing has attracted growing international attention due to the growing chinese market, the second largest in the world, with annual revenues, in 2015, of 44 billion yuan ($6.8 billion). For example, in the 5th Festival, contracts were signed for a value of 13.8 million yuan.
