Argentina presents the RIGI framework to chinese companies in Beijing

The Argentine Embassy in China and the law firm Bomchil jointly hosted a strategic meeting today to present the Large Investment Incentive Scheme (RIGI) before leading Chinese companies in the energy, mining, and financial sectors.

The Argentine Ambassador Marcelo Suárez Salvia opened the session, emphasizing that RIGI is the cornerstone of Argentina's new development strategy, offering legal certainty, tax and exchange rate stability for 30 years, and foreign trade facilities. He noted that the regime has already received applications for over USD 50 billion in projects, with energy and mining as key sectors.

Following the Ambassador's remarks, Francisco Zappa, representative of Bomchil law firm, delivered a specialized technical analysis on the legal framework and operational opportunities that RIGI provides for large-scale investments.

The event highlighted the significant potential for bilateral cooperation in sectors such as lithium, copper, hydrocarbons, and renewable energy, positioning Argentina as a strategic partner in the global energy transition. This joint initiative between the Embassy and Bomchil reaffirms their commitment to strengthening public-private linkages and serving as an institutional bridge to facilitate investments between both countries.
